HAIGHANA at National Patient Safety conference 2019
Three members of the HAIGHANA team (Dr. Appiah-Korang Labi, Dr.Gifty Sunkwa-Mills and Dr.Ama Fenny) delivered three oral presentations at the national patient safety and healthcare quality conference held at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra, Ghana between 17th September and 19th September 2019. The conference was on the theme “No Quality, No Coverage. WASH-IPC in all Healthcare facilities now”
The titles of the presentations were “Carriage and transmission dynamics of multi-drug resistant Gram negative bacteria in neonatal intensive care units in Ghana”, “The cost and extra length of stay of neonatal sepsis-A prospective Case-Control study at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, Ghana.”, “Healthcare associated infections in Ghana, involving patients and lay caregivers in infection control interventions”.
